Yesterday we took a tour of the Battlegrounds, where our youth all bought plastic swords and ran through the fields recreating scenes from Braveheart. Just picture Gettysburg and change the accents and the uniforms. We also celebrated our last night in Inverness with a cookout at one of the host homes. Everyone had a great time rolling down the hills, wrestling, and just visiting with each other. There was lots of great food, and ice cream and it was sad to see our new friends go, especially for the boys who had done a little romancing over the past two days.
We sang twice yesterday in Inverness, once during morning worship and once in the evening. We are headed to Focabers where we will sing again and have another ceilidh tonight, now that we know all the moves! We will also be stopping by the cashmere factory on our way. Isn't Father's Day soon??

Glad to hear all is well. Love the Blog.
I just returned from Scotland last night myself. I hope you are enjoying the fine weather, assuming it is just as good up north as it was the last five days in Edinburgh/East Lothian. Enjoy the rest of the tour.
There are the pictures we love... rolling down the hills has been a tradition for our guys for years!
The sword fights must have been a sight!
Take care and be safe, we miss you all!
Jay, you're fabulous to give us at home a window into the Tour! It's great to be able to follow along with the photos and your commentary. It looks like SUCH a fun trip! Enjoy the weather in Scotland...it's been hot enough to fry a chicken on the sidewalk here (nevermind the egg!)
Speaking of regional delicacies...had haggis? or maybe a clootie dumpling?
Hey John, stripes and plaid? Hope that doesn't mean you're already out of clothes! Don't let Michael pick out your outfit next time.
Is Brant the conquered body under the victorious heros? I recognize the yellow armstrong bracelet? Hey do you still have your retainers?
Hey, I was just looking at the Tour flight info Kelly left for me. Who is this "Jucie Wells"? :-)
Jay-Thanks so much for this blog. It makes you guys feel closer- I'm starting to believe I have sent my child off with too much money. Otherwise, I feel sure she would call....unless there really are no phones in Scotland. :)
MR
Michael don't follow John's fashion sense. Sooo.... where are you in the pics with John and Chris on the hill? Are we romancing?
Hey Michael what happened? Who's is trying to keep up with you and now wearing your sling? Atleast ya'll are both within the performance dress code.
Jay ... perhaps I should hold your fish hostage in the hope you'll bring me some of that cashmere!! Glad you guys are having a blast. I actually wish I was there(on yet another tour)
Yudy
Miss you Chase & Fletcher!
Scotland looks so beautiful...sing , sing , sing!
